Pratt feeder cattle auction reportThe Pratt Livestock Feeder Cattle Auction, Pratt, Kan., reported receipts of 2,098 head Sept. 6, compared to 1,638 head, last week and 2,286 head, last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared with last week, feeder steers were mostly steady to $2 higher, heifers were mostly steady to $3 higher. Steers at 650 pounds and under, also heifers at 600 pounds and under, were not enough for a market test. Receipts included 83% 600 pounds and over, 11% 600 pounds and under and 5% slaughter cows and bulls. The feeder supply was 56% steers and 44% heifers.
