The McAlester Union Livestock Market, reported receipts of 2,430 head last week and 2,025 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.
Compared to last week, steers below 500 pounds were $3 to $13 higher. Steers above 500 pounds were $3 to $8 higher. Heifers below 400 pounds were $5 to $8 higher. Heifers above 400 pounds were steady to $4 higher. Quality was average to attractive. The supply includes 21% over 600 pounds with 44% heifers.
