Pratt 3 p.m. cattle sales

Pratt Livestock Feeder Cattle Auction, Pratt, Kan., reported estimated receipts of 1,500 head as of 3 p.m., Oct. 25, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Dodge City, Kan.

Compared with last week's limited test, feeder steers at 650 to 800 pounds were steady to firm; 800 to 850 pounds were steady to $3 lower; and 850 pounds and over showed a firm undertone. Heifers at 650 to 900 pounds were steady to firm.

Steers: Medium and large frame 1, 15 head, 678 lbs., 153.00; 700 to 750 lbs., 146.50 to 147.25; 750 to 800 lbs., 144.00 to 146.00; 800 to 850 lbs., 143.50 to 145.00; 32 head, thin-fleshed, 815 lbs., 149.00; 37 head, 850 lbs., 144.75; 1000 to 1050 lbs., 124.00 to 124.75; 12 head, 1140 lbs., 123.50.

Heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 600 to 650 lbs., 139.50 to 144.00; 3 head, 696 lbs., 134.50; 700 to 750 lbs., 133.75 to 136.10; 750 to 800 lbs., 133.00 to 136.00; 20 head, 834 lbs., 134.75; 4 head, 853 lbs., 132.00; 20 head, 934 lbs., 128.25.
