Nebraska Power Farming Show grows
The Nebraska Power Farming Show will grow once again in 2012 with the addition of a fifth building for exhibits. The show dates are Dec. 4 to 6.
"Pavilion 3 will add 73,000 square feet of exhibit space and a 12,000-square-foot food court to the show. The show occupied 315,000 square feet of exhibit space in 2011. With this addition, the Nebraska Power Farming Show will become the second largest indoor farm show in the United States," says Tom Junge, show director.
The show has grown substantially since its inaugural show in 2007. The 2011 show had 143 new exhibitors. "The Nebraska Power Farming Show is quickly becoming a destination for farmers and ranchers due to the quality of displays and the continued expansion of the show. We know farmers want to see farm equipment displays so that is our main focus. Pavilion 3 will allow us to add more equipment displays and livestock handling equipment," Junge said.
The show currently occupies the Lincoln Room, Multi-Purpose Arena, Pavilion 1, Pavilion 2 and AMY Countryman Arena of the Lancaster Event Center in Lincoln, Neb. Future plans for the Lancaster Event Center include another arena and pavilion to give the complex over 600,000 square feet of exhibit space.
Other enhancements to the 2012 show include the addition of parking attendants and shuttle buses to transport attendees to the entrances; "Official Show Program" distribution to include Western Iowa; new show website; and better signage to assist attendees in finding vendors.
The Nebraska Power Farming Show is produced by the Iowa-Nebraska Equipment Dealers Association in conjunction with local Nebraska farm equipment dealers and sponsored in part by Midwest Producer, Midwest Messenger, KRVN/KTIC Radio, Bayer CropScience, Farm Credit Services of America, Stine Seed and the Stewart-Peterson Group.
