The Ogallala Livestock Auction Market, Ogallala, Neb., reported receipts of 4,500 head Oct. 4, compared to 2,600 head 3,750 last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb.
Compared to last week, steers and heifers were $2 to $6 higher. Demand was good on all weights of cattle. Steers accounted for 62% and heifers 38% of the offering, with 12% over 600 pounds.
