The Pratt Livestock Feeder Cattle Auction, Pratt, Kan, Sept. 27, reported estimated receipts of 1,850 head as of 3 p.m., according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Dodge City, Kan.
Compared with last week, feeder steers were not enough for a market test, a lower undertone was noted. A few medium and large frame 1 heifers at 600 to 850 pounds were steady, the bulk of trade was weak to $4 lower.
Steers: Medium and large frame 1, 800 to 850 lbs., 138.75 to 139.00.
Heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 600 to 650 lbs., 134.00 to 135.25; 650 to 700 lbs., 139.25 to 140.50; 60 head 749 lbs., 137.00; 750 to 800 lbs., 134.00 to 135.75; 15 head 820 lbs., 132.25.
