Ogallala livestock auction reportThe Ogallala Livestock Auction Market, Ogallala, Neb., Sept. 20, reported receipts of 3,100 head, compared to 5,050 head last week, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. Compared to last week, steers and heifers under 600 pounds were $4 to $8 higher, weights over 600 pounds were not enough to compare. Demand was good on all weights. Steers accounted for 33% and heifers 67% of the offering, with 40% over 600 pounds.
