Superior video auction reportThe Superior Video Auction reported offerings of 95,000 head Sept. 7, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Amarillo, Texas. Compared to the last sale, feeder steer and heifer prices were mixed and uneven but mostly steady to $4 higher, with the largest improvement noted in the South Central region. The supply included 39% feeder steers and heifers over 600 pounds, 63% of the feeder supply was steers and 37% heifers. Prices FOB based on net weights after a 2 to 3% pencil shrink or equivalent, with a 3 to 6 cent slide on yearlings and 4 to 10 on calves. Deliveries are current through February 2013.
