Private pesticide applicator license training is Oct. 11Texas Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Potter County is offering Private Pesticide Applicator License Training on Oct. 11 at the Texas A&M Research and Extension Center, 6500 Amarillo Blvd. West, Amarillo. The training session begins at 8 a.m. The three-and-a-half hour training will give participants the needed information to take the private applicator license test, which will be administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture. Cost of the training is $60 and all materials will be provided. Anyone in the Texas Panhandle may and are encouraged to participate if they need a private pesticide applicator license, said Brandon Boughen, AgriLife Extension agriculture and natural resources agent for Potter County. The private pesticide applicator license is for agricultural producers and land owners who apply restricted use pesticides to their own property. Boughen said.
