Colorado feeder cattle summary

The Colorado Auction Feeder Cattle Summary, Greeley, Colo., reported receipts of 10,752 head Oct. 26, compared to 14,946 head last week and 10,436 head last year, according to the USDA-Colorado Department of Agriculture Market News, Greeley, Colo.

Compared to last week, steers traded mostly $1 to $3 higher. Heifers were mostly $1 to $3 higher. Buyers were beginning to desire vaccinated, 45- to 60-day weaned calves, as the majority of the state received rain and snow this week. Trading activity was moderate on moderate to good demand. The supply consisted of 58% steers and 42% heifers, with 29% feeders over 600 pounds.
