Cattle stolen near Independence

Kansas

A Kansas Livestock Association member has reported two Angus cows and a 3-year-old Angus bull stolen between 3:30 p.m. Oct. 24 and 11 a.m. October 25 from a pen near Independence. All of the cattle have a rafter lazy 5 brand on the left hip.

KLA is offering up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the thieves. The reward program only applies to KLA members. Anyone with information on these cattle should contact Van Ward at 620-870-8557 or the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office at 620-330-1000.
