Keystone International Livestock Expo holds National Hereford Show

RF Endurance 1301 ET and LCC Kee Wee 208X topped the Keystone International Livestock Exposition National Hereford Show in Harrisburg, Pa., Oct. 5. Brothers Kyle and Perez, Nara Visa, N.M., judged the 129-head show. During the championship drive Kyle said he was impressed with the quality of cattle and added, "The Hereford breed is back and here to stay."

Chosen champion in the bull grand drive was RF Endurance 1301 ET, owned by Richard Watson, Shady Valley, Tenn., and Rogan Hereford Farms, Rogersville, Tenn. The bull is a March 2011 son of CRR About Time 743. He later went on to be named supreme champion bull over all breeds.

The Perez brothers used the champion intermediate bull, RS 45P Magnum 91Y, as reserve grand. The son of NJW FHF 9710 Tank 45P is bred and owned by Rylee Stockdale, Dayton, Pa.

The champion female, LCC Kee Wee 208X, was bred and owned by Lowderman Cattle Co., Macomb, Ill. The February 2012 daughter of LCC Back N Time ET was first named champion junior calf.

Reserve champion female is the champion junior yearling, BLL LCC She's All Good 150, owned by Marie Lock, Avon, Ill. She was born in February 2011 and is also sired by LCC Back N Time ET.

Lowderman Cattle Co. dominated the group awards, being named premier exhibitor, premier breeder and exhibited best six head.

Reserve intermediate champion heifer: Peyton and Logan Schmitt, Nichols, Iowa, with SHMT Tessa Time 72Y by CRR About Time 743.

Spring yearling champion heifer: Kyle Lemmon, Manchester, Md., with Purple DSF Firefly 125Y by Purple Inferno 16N.

Reserve spring yearling champion heifer: Emma and Libby Rushton, Waverly, Tenn., with RF Goldies Anna 1302 ET by CRR About Time 743.

Reserve junior yearling champion heifer: Kelsey Delaplaine, Gettysburg, Pa., with GF Sweet Kayla 32Y by JTH Star Power 13U.

Champion senior yearling heifer: Alasia Reid, Philadelphia, Pa., with M/S Miss Stormy Lee 3160 by DVF Tornado 36U.

Champion cow-calf pair: Brooke, Chase, Hanna and Abigail Billing, Greendell, N.J., with Boyd Paula 0058 by TH 75J 243R Bailout 144U ET with a March heifer calf at side by HCC Advantage X24.

Reserve champion cow-calf pair: R&T Acres, Frederick, Md., and Tara Hausner, Thomasville, Pa., with RTA Telma 71T by Purple Tonic 10M with a March heifer calf at side by STAR Bright Future 533P ET.
