RWDCA announces 2013 summer internship

The Red & White Dairy Cattle Association is pleased to announce their 2013 Summer Internship. They will be offering a junior member the opportunity to gain a wide variety of experiences and opportunities that coincide with working at the Red & White Dairy Cattle Association.

Intern responsibilities include representing RWDCA at various events throughout the summer, working on press releases for upcoming and recent events, working on articles, advertisements and lay out of The Red Bloodlines and assisting with registrations and transfers. Qualified applicants should be a member of the RWDCA (Junior or Family), have completed at least one year of college prior to start date and pursuing a degree in Animal Science, Ag Journalism/Communications, Dairy Science or related degree, must have a valid driver's license and preference will be given to those applicants possessing strong communication and organizational skills. The RWDCA Summer Intern will receive a $1,000 per month salary and travel expenses will be covered by RWDCA. Housing is not supplied, however RWDCA will assist in finding housing.

To apply, submit a cover letter that includes why you believe you would be a good candidate for this internship and any involvement you have had with the RWDCA; a resume that includes education, work experience and achievements; and three letters of recommendation from people not related to you (e.g., teachers, employers). Postmark deadline for cover letters, resumes and letters of recommendation is December 1, 2012. Mail materials to: RWDCA, 308B Ogden Ave., Clinton, WI 53525. The RWDCA Junior Committee will review the applications and hold interviews in early January. Internship winner will be announced Feb. 1, 2013.
