KLA Convention to hold live auctionKansas If you are in need of a baler to use this coming year, look no further than the KLA-PAC live auction at the 100th Kansas Livestock Association Convention. The winning bid will receive a one-year lease on a New Holland baler with a 1,500-bale limit. A $15 usage fee will be assessed for every bale over the limit. The buyer will have the option to choose a model BR7070 (46.5" x 36" - 72" bale size) or BR7090 (61.5" x 36" - 70" bale size). A number of reputable genetic suppliers have donated bull sale credits to also help fund KLA PAC. Ranches offering credits are Fink Beef Genetics, Gardiner Angus, Bar S Ranch, Dalebanks Angus, Downey Ranch, Kniebel Cattle Company, Sandhill Farms, Benoit Angus, Harms Plainview Ranch, J & N Ranch, Judd Ranch, Lyons Angus, Moser Ranch and Pelton Red Angus and Simmental. Credits purchased can be used toward the price of any bull, either at the donor's 2013 bull or production sale or private treaty. Money raised through the sale of the baler and bull credits will be used to help elect political candidates who understand and appreciate the importance of the livestock industry in Kansas. In addition, several premium items will be sold to benefit Ranchland Trust of Kansas projects, the Kansas CattleWomen, the Kansas Livestock Foundation and NCBA PAC. The live auction will be held Nov. 29, at 7:45 p.m. in the trade show. Bidding for the KCW silent auction items will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 29. Date: 11-26-2012
