Lexington market report

The Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Neb., reported receipts of 2,050 head Nov. 9, compared to 2,823 head last week and 4,555 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb.

Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold mostly steady. Demand was good. Steers accounted for 56% of the run, heifers 44% with 45% of offering over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 5 head, 361 lbs., 186.00); 32 head, 421 lbs., 184.75); 458 to 491 lbs., 167.50 to 175.00 (170.32); 522 to 536 lbs., 170.00 to 176.00 (174.53); 561 to 593 lbs., 162.00 to 170.00 (165.47); 610 to 644 lbs., 150.00 to 155.50 (153.26) calves; 669 to 692 lbs., 151.00 to 155.00 (153.56) calves; 704 to 714 lbs., 155.75 to 158.00 (156.51) calves; 23 head, 723 lbs., 147.00 fleshy; 103 head, 805 lbs., 148.00) calves. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 8 head, 516 lbs., 161.00); 565 to 582 lbs., 152.50 to 159.50 (156.28).

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 15 head, 382 lbs., 160.00; 12 head, 415 to 430 lbs., 153.00 to 155.00 (153.98); 453 to 497 lbs., 150.00 to 155.00 (153.13); 517 to 544 lbs., 150.00 to 155.00 (151.57); 554 to 598 lbs., 145.00 to 150.50 (147.44); 600 to 642 lbs., 140.00 to 140.75 (140.21) calves; 670 to 692 lbs., 137.50 to 139.00 (138.35) calves; 71 head, 715 lbs, 139.85) calves; 8 head, 768 lbs., 133.00) calves;.
