Grain market closeThe USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colo., in the closing grain report for Nov. 12, reported in futures trading that Chicago December soft red winter wheat was $8.57 3/4, down 28 3/4 cents; December corn, $7.18, down 20 3/4 cents; and January soybeans, $14.05, down 46 1/4 cents. The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, $9.65 1/2 to $9.75 1/2, down 31 3/4 cents; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $9.32 3/4 to $9.37 3/4, down 25 3/4 to 23 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $7.88 to $7.95, down 20 3/4 to 18 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $12.46 1/2 to $13, down 37 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, $12.64 1/4 to $13, down 33 1/2 to 37 cents; and No. 2 yellow soybeans, barge, $14.95 to $15.03, down 46 1/4 to 43 1/4 cents. Colby, Kan., unit train wheat bid was $8.36. In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $8.23 to $8.98. No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, northwest Colorado was mostly 34 cents lower. In north central Colorado, wheat was $8.23 to $8.58. In northeast Colorado, wheat was $8 to $8.15. In east central Colorado, wheat was $7.98 to $8.38. In southeast Colorado, wheat was $8.18 to $8.43. In south central Colorado, wheat was $7.37. In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $8.15 to $8.18. No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was mostly 15 cents lower and $6.94 to $7.53 per bushel. In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $7.09 to $7.34. In east central Colorado, corn was $7.17 to $7.34. In southeast Colorado, corn was $7.58 to $7.63. In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, corn bids were $7.06 to $7.10 per bushel. No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was 24 to 27 cents higher at $12.39 to $12.59 per cwt. No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were 43 cents lower at $13.23 to $13.34 per bushel. White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $30 to $31.50 per cwt., mostly $31.50. Sunflowers were $25.50 to $26 cwt. In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $6.94 to $7.44 per bushel. Barley was steady at $13. In northeast Colorado and Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $35 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were $32 to $34. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $30. Great Northerns were steady at $38 in northeast Colorado and Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $32.
