Kansas
The deadline to sign up for a Farm Service Agency program that helps provide emergency water to livestock is Nov. 15. According to State FSA Director Adrian Polansky, Kansas has received $6.1 million for qualifying projects under the Emergency Conservation Program.
Ranchers can make an ECP cost-share request in approved counties. Those eligible can receive assistance for up to 75 percent of the cost of temporary measures and 50 percent of the cost for permanent measures approved through the program. Contact the FSA office in your local area for more information.
