Russell County Extension will be hosting a corn and grain sorghum school Feb. 7 at the Luray Community Center from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Across Russell County more producers are adding corn to their crop rotation, and sorghum has been a mainstay for many since freedom to farm took effect
Presenters for the day will be Kraig Roozeboom, Cropping Systems Specialist and Dorivar Ruiz Diaz, Soil Fertility Specialist, both of Kansas State University. They will cover a wide range of information including advances in corn hybrids, weed control and fertility needs of both crops.
Come, bring your questions and enjoy the afternoon.
There will be a $10 registration fee to help defray costs.
