The Oklahoma Grain and Stocker Producers will host a legislative meet-and-greet during the KNID Agrifest farm show at the Garfield County Fairgrounds in Enid. Legislative officials invited to participate include staff of the Oklahoma legislative delegation as well as leaders of the Oklahoma Senate and House of Representatives and State Secretary of Agriculture Jim Reese. Elected officials and staff will provide updates on national and state issues, including the new farm bill, the state budget situation, wildlife management efforts and more, in addition to visiting one-on-one with constituents. The event will be held at 1 p.m. Jan. 13, in the conference room on the northeast corner of the Chisholm Trail Expo Center, 111 W Purdue Ave., in Enid.
The KNID Agrifest is annually one of the most popular farm shows in the region. It will be held from 9 to 6 p.m. Jan. 13 and 9 to 5 p.m. Jan. 14. There is no charge to attend either the show or the legislative forum, and free parking is available on site.
The Oklahoma Grain and Stocker Producers organization was founded nearly 20 years ago to promote trade, research, agricultural diversification and private property rights on behalf of the state's grain and stocker cattle producers.
