Tulsa livestock auction reportThe Tulsa Livestock Auction, Tulsa, Okla., reported receipts of 2,364 head Jan. 30, compared to 2,325 head last week and 3,013 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were steady to $3 higher in a light test. Steer calves were $4 to $10 higher, 475 to 525 pounds were $12 to $14 higher. Heifer calves were mostly steady to $4 higher. The market was very active with good numbers of long weaned and worked short yearling cattle. The supply included 24% over 600 pounds, 47% heifers. Slaughter cows steady to $3 higher. Slaughter bulls were steady. A total of 248 cows and bulls sold with 50% going to packers.
