Ericson livestock auction reportThe Ericson Spalding Livestock Auction, Ericson, Neb., reported receipts of 4,220 head Jan. 28, compared to 2,900 head last week and 5,400 head last year, according to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture to USDA Market News Service, Kearney, Neb. Compared with last week, steers traded $3 to $6 higher and heifers traded unevenly steady. Demand was good for all offerings with several load lots of feeder cattle. Receipts consisted 59% steers, 41% heifers, with 64% weighing over 600 pounds.
