Apache livestock auction report
Apache Livestock Auction, Apache, Okla., reported receipts of 2,034 head Jan. 26, compared to 3,215 head last week and 6,462 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were $1 to $4 higher. Steer calves were $1 to $4 higher. Heifer calves were $5 to $8 higher. Demand was good for feeders and calves. The supply included 70% over 600 pounds and 39% heifers. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 11 head, 308 to 343 lbs., 215.00 to 219.00 (217.31); 8 head, 367 to 392 lbs., 200.00 to 208.00 (205.96); 400 to 428 lbs., 193.00 to 208.00 (202.44); 450 to 499 lbs., 179.00 to 191.00 (183.10); 19 head, 501 to 548 lbs., 173.00 to 176.00 (174.54); 20 head, 566 to 567 lbs., 170.00 to 174.00 (171.40); 606 to 641 lbs., 159.75 to 164.00 (160.16); 653 to 694 lbs., 156.75 to 163.00 (158.89); 708 to 734 lbs., 152.50 to 154.75 (154.12); 15 head, 755 to 779 lbs., 150.50 to 152.75 (152.14); 819 to 842 lbs., 147.00 to 149.00 (148.14); 855 to 879 lbs., 144.50 to 146.25 (145.57).
