Ada livestock auction report
The Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Okla., reported receipts of 773 head Jan. 25, compared to 1,279 head last week and 1,674 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, steers calves were $2 to $4 lower. Heifer calves were steady. Feeder steers and heifers were $2 to $6 higher in a light test. Demand was good and quality plain to average. The supply included 15% over 600 pounds and 48% heifers. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 8 head, 266 to 290 lbs., 207.00 to 216.00 (213.11); 14 head, 309 to 343 lbs., 198.00 to 210.00 (207.37); 350 to 397 lbs., 193.00 to 202.00 (195.54); 9 head, 400 to 445 lbs., 187.00 to 193.00 (188.75); 450 to 475 lbs., 175.00 to 185.50 (179.53); 512 to 541 lbs., 160.00 to 172.00 (167.53); 18 head, 568 to 590 lbs., 160.00 to 164.00 (162.03); 9 head, 623 to 628 lbs., 150.00 to 151.00 (150.34); 17 head, 671 to 690 lbs., 146.00 to 149.00 (147.36); 7 head, 760 lbs., 149.00. Medium and large frame 2, 5 head, 310 to 323 lbs., 189.00 to 195.00 (190.16); 6 head, 410 to 443 lbs., 181.00 to 186.00 (183.68); 19 head, 470 to 497 lbs., 161.00 to 171.00 (166.06).
