Aberdeen cattle sales report
The Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 4,442 head Feb. 1, compared to 5,175 head last week, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week, steer and heifer calves sold mostly $1 to $2 higher. Steers over 850 pounds sold $2 lower. Many buyers were at ringside, active market with good demand. The offering included 70% steers, 30% heifers, with 85% over 600 pounds.
