Heifers reported stolen from Stafford County feedyard

Kansas

The Kansas Livestock Association is offering a reward up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those who stole 20 heifers owned by Innovative Livestock Services from a Dillwyn Feedyard satellite location northwest of St. John. The heifers came from a pen of 400 that was fed 120 days and averaged 700 pounds Jan. 13. Thieves could have stolen the cattle anytime from September 2011 through early January 2012.

The heifers were branded upside down 7 open A on the right hip and had red tags in the left ear with numbers somewhere in the sequence from 6939 to 7877. Another identifier is a small notch in the lower right corner of the right ear.

Anyone with information on this theft should call Matthew Vaupel at 620-546-3445.
