Cattle & Horse Growers Association meeting, banquet set for March 31

The Bent-Prowers Cattle & Horse Growers Association will hold its annual meeting, banquet and dance on March 31.
During its Jan. 31 board meeting, the board selected the Cow Palace Inn in Lamar for the event location and hired Mac Entertainment as the disc jockey for the evening. The cattlemen's group, which serves Baca, Bent, Crowley, Kiowa, Otero and Prowers counties, also appointed committees to finalize other plans.
The next board meeting, which will follow a membership drive, will be 6 p.m. Feb. 29, at Jody's Grill in La Junta.
