IPSA Conference set for JanuaryThe Independent Professional Seed Association is hosting their 24th Annual Conference at the beautiful Loew's Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, Jan. 8 to 10, 2013. The event begins on the heels of GreenLeaf Genetics' Winterfest meeting. IPSA starts with a fun, western-themed Welcome Reception the evening of Jan. 8 (bring your hat and boots), then gets down to business first thing Jan. 9 with a presentation on Riding for the Brand by Jim Whitt. The afternoon includes eight breakout sessions on topics ranging from seed supply to mobile marketing. Following a brief reception, the evening is open for offsite dinners (but catch back up with everyone at the hospitality suites later that evening). The Jan. 10 schedule begins with rapid-fire presentations on eight new breakout programs (topics include Washington update, mobile marketing, and group travel ideas), and the day is capped off by an exciting presentation from Scott McKain titled "Creating Distinction with the Ultimate Customer Experience." The day will end with a brief closing reception and an open evening for dinner with your customers or friends. "Each year, the bar is pushed higher by our planning committee. I can assure you that Chairman Chuck Cornelius and the rest of the IPSA Business Development Committee have made this 24th Annual Conference one that folks will not forget" said Ruehle. The Independent Professional Seed Association was formed in 1989 by a group of independent seed producers who recognized the need for an organization to represent independent seed companies world-wide. The Association addresses research and biotechnology issues and increases the media presence of the industry in an increasingly competitive and dynamic business climate. IPSA represents approximately 100 seed companies from throughout the United States and Canada, who produce and market a significant portion of the corn, soybeans, small grain and forage seeds planted annually.
