Grain market closeThe USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colo., in the closing grain report for Dec. 10, reported in futures trading that Chicago March soft red winter wheat was $8.48 3/4, down 12 1/4 cents; March corn, $7.30, down 7 1/4 cents; and January soybeans, $4.74 3/4, up 2 1/2 cents. The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, $9.78 1/4 to $9.88 1/4, down 6 1/2 cents; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $9.17 3/4 to $9.18 3/4,down 3 1/4 to 10 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $8 to $8.04, down 9 1/4 to 7 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $12.67 3/4 to $13.39 1/4, down 13 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, $13.03 1/2 to $13.30 1/4, down 5 3/4 to 13 cents; and No. 2 yellow soybeans, barge, $15.89 3/4 to $15.94 3/4, up 5 1/2 to 7 1/2 cents. Colby, Kan., unit train wheat bid was $8.24. In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $8.04 to $8.77. No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, northwest Colorado was mostly 21 cents lower. In north central Colorado, wheat was $8.04 to $8.52. In northeast Colorado, wheat was $7.82 to $8.06. In east central Colorado, wheat was $7.83 to $8.26. In southeast Colorado, wheat was $8.14 to $8.27. In south central Colorado, wheat was $7.45. In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $7.97 to $8.12. No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was mostly 2 cents lower and $7.05 to $7.63 per bushel. In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $7.11 to $7.36. In east central Colorado, corn was $7.24 to $7.40. In southeast Colorado, corn was $7.61 to $7.66. In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, corn bids were $7.10 to $7.18 per bushel. No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was 4 cents lower at $12.55 to $12.64 per cwt. No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were 3 cents lower at $14.01 to $14.02 per bushel. White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $31 to $37 per cwt., mostly $36. Sunflowers were $24 to $26 cwt. In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $7.05 to $7.53 per bushel. Barley was steady at $13. In northeast Colorado and Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $34 to $35 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were $32 to $34. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $30 to $32. Great Northerns were steady at $40 in northeast Colorado and Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $32.
