Colorado Corn Growers Association names legislative intern
Emily Rudder of Genoa, Colo., was recently selected by the Colorado Corn Growers Association for an internship in Denver working with state legislative issues.
Rudder, a Colorado State University Agriculture Business and Education student, will work with CCGA lobbyist Becky Brooks when the 2013 legislative session begins.
"Emily will be a tremendous asset to our efforts at the state capitol," said Rick Palkowitsh, chair of the CCGA Public Policy committee, which supports the internship. "The experience she will gain will follow her for the rest of her life and hopefully will give her a new appreciation for our political process."
Rudder graduated from Limon High School in 2001 where she was senior class president and also took classes at Morgan Community College in Fort Morgan. She is expecting to graduate from CSU in 2015. She is also on the Colorado FFA Executive Committee and has been a member of FFA and 4-H for years.
The Colorado Corn Growers Association and Colorado Corn Administrative Committee work on behalf of more than 4,000 corn producers through market development, communications, research, and education. See more about the work of both organizations at www.coloradocorn.com.
