Grain market closeThe USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colo., in the closing grain report for Dec. 3, reported in futures trading that Chicago March soft red winter wheat was $8.60 3/4, down 2 3/4 cents; March corn, $7.54 3/4, up 2 cents; and January soybeans, $14.53 3/4, up 15 cents. The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, $9.67 3/4 to $9.91 3/4, down 4 3/4 to 6 3/4 cents; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $9.30 3/4 to $9.35 3/4, down 2 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $8.25 to $8.29, down 1 to up 1 cent; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $13.19 3/4 to $13.75, up 2 to 3 1/2 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, $13.37 1/2 to $13.66, up 1 3/4 to 21 1/4 cents; and No. 2 yellow soybeans, barge, $15.59 3/4 to $15.63 3/4, up 15 cents. Colby, Kan., unit train wheat bid was $8.39. In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $8.25 to $9.13. No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, northwest Colorado was mostly 4 to 5 cents lower. In north central Colorado, wheat was $8.25 to $8.71. In northeast Colorado, wheat was $8.08 to $8.23. In east central Colorado, wheat was $8 to $8.40. In southeast Colorado, wheat was $8.18 to $8.48. In south central Colorado, wheat was $7.35. In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $8.18 to $8.22. No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was mostly 3 cents lower and $7.24 to $7.77 per bushel. In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $7.35 to $7.60. In east central Colorado, corn was $7.43 to $7.60. In southeast Colorado, corn was $7.82 to $7.90. In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, corn bids were $7.32 to $7.42 per bushel. No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was mostly 6 cents lower at $12.80 to $13.07 per cwt. No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were 2 cents higher at $13.83 to $13.86 per bushel. White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $31 to $33 per cwt., mostly $33. Sunflowers were $24 to $26 cwt. In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $7.24 to $7.77 per bushel. Barley was steady at $13. In northeast Colorado and Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $34 to $35 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were $32 to $34. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $30 to $32. Great Northerns were steady at $40 in northeast Colorado and Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $32.
