Ericson livestock auction reportThe Ericson Livestock Auction, Ericson, Neb., reported receipts of 2,318 head Dec. 1 compared to 4,350 head last week and 2,220 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Kearney, Neb. Compared to last week, steers traded steady to as much as $10 lower and heifers traded fully steady, with heifers weighing 400 to 500 pounds trading $5 lower. Demand was good from start to finish from a smaller crowd on the seats. Receipts consisted of 64% steers, 36% heifers with 29% of the offering weighing over 600 pounds.
