Kansas Cattlemen recognize outgoing board members

Kansas

The Kansas Cattlemen's Association Board of Directors recently showed appreciation for three Board members, Ronnie Rogers from Cedar Vale, KCA President Paul Acton from Blue Mound, and Secretary/Treasurer Ivan Reimer from Meade, who successfully fulfilled their three-year term on the Board of Directors.

"I would like to thank Paul, as the past president, Ivan as the past secretary, and Ronnie as a veteran Board Member who always had great words of wisdom. We will strive to continue in the direction in which they have led this organization. Their leadership has been and will continue to be greatly appreciated. I want to thank all of them for their dedication and hard work in doing what is right for the industry," remarked KCA Director Danny Herrmann.

"Ronnie has been one of the most supportive and constructive board members I have worked with. He has a true passion not only for KCA but also for the cattle and agriculture industries. We greatly appreciate all the hard work and dedication he has put into KCA and hope that his influence carries on through the upcoming board," said KCA staff member Kelsey Gibson.

"Ivan contributes so much more than his knowledge in the cattle industry or his accountability as the KCA treasurer. Every week, Ivan provides thought provoking ideas and his moral character, wisdom, and sense of self encourages those around him to expect more from themselves. He has demonstrated how each one of us can build ourselves and others up without knocking someone else down. KCA is grateful to have had that type of leadership within the organization," stated KCA Executive Director Brandy Carter.

"Paul has been a really good president. Even before he was on the Board, Paul organized events to help promote the association. Throughout his term, he has traveled the entire state working on behalf of KCA and the industry. He takes every opportunity to attend each event KCA puts together. With his knowledge of the issues and "speak softly but carry a big stick philosophy", Paul has helped this organization push forward on critical issues while forming coalitions and teaming up with other organizations that can help KCA better the industry," stated KCA Director Mason Greene.

KCA would once again like to thank Ronnie, Ivan, and Paul for their service and always encourages others who care about the cattle industry to be involved in organization such as Kansas Cattlemen's Association.
