Alumni of the Year Award announcedNebraska Bryan Henderson of Scottsbluff is the recipient of the 2012 Alumni of the Year Award from the University of Nebraska Panhandle Alumni Chapter. The award was presented at the chapter's annual Founders' dinner at Gering by Ted Cannon, the 2011 winner. Born in Scottsbluff, Henderson is an Alliance High School graduate and graduated from UNL in 1980 with a bachelor's degree in animal science. He worked on the family's Earl Henderson & Sons Herefords before beginning a veterinary sales career with Diamond Scientific in 1987. In 1990 he went to work for Nelson Laboratories. In 2005, he began working for CSC High Plains, which later was purchased by Webster Animal Health. During his sales career, he has continued to maintain an active interest in the ranch. He and his wife, Trudy, live at Scottsbluff. He was president of the Panhandle Alumni Club in 2002, and is active in church and civic affairs in Scottsbluff. Also at the annual dinner, recipients of Panhandle Alumni Scholarships were announced, including Lakin Beaver of Mitchell High School, Brent BonFleur of Gordon-Rushville High, Taran Braman of Mitchell High, and Jaslyn Livingston of Bridgeport High School.
