Colorado Corn offers public policy internship in Washington, D.C.
The Colorado Corn Growers Association and the National Corn Growers Association are pleased to announce a public policy internship opportunity in Washington D.C. for a college junior or senior during the Spring Semester 2012. The program is a great opportunity for a student to learn about and be involved in the legislative process by experiencing it firsthand.
The selected applicant will be under the direction of the NCGA Washington, D.C., staff from Feb. 1 to April 30, 2012. The program has been designed to enhance a student's knowledge on bills and policies important to agriculture, the importance of grower membership lobbying, agricultural industry relationships, and the process of policy development. The student will also have an opportunity to experience Capitol Hill lobbying, and interaction with NCGA leadership and office operations.
Information about program eligibility, features and benefits, application and selection process can be found on the Colorado Corn website, www.coloradocorn.com, under Legislative Information. For more information, contact Colorado Corn staff member Ann Cross at 970-351-8201 or email@example.com. Applications are due no later than Sept. 30.
