The annual West Central Cattleman's series will begin Nov. 21. The first session will be at Ogallala, Neb., Nov. 21 at the Quality Inn. This meeting will start at 5 p.m.. Two new locations have been added for the 2011-2012 season, Hayes Center and Goodland, Kan. The Hayes Center meeting is scheduled for Nov. 22 at the Hayes County fairgrounds at 5 p.m. The Goodland, Kan., meeting is scheduled for Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. at the fairgrounds.
Presentations that will be made include feed cost control, crop market update, pasture productivity, pasture weed control, cattle genetics and third trimester cow nutrition. Each of the meetings has a $10 registration fee or $15 at the door. Meals are included in the registration fee.
The West Central Cattleman's Day is one of the premier opportunities for cattle producers to access the most up-to-date information on current management issues.
