The Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 1,700 head May 25, compared to 2,568 head last week and 3,900 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D.
Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers under 650 pounds sold steady on a limited comparison. Feeder steers and heifers over 650 pounds sold $1 to $4 lower. Active market with good demand. The offering included 59% steers, 41% heifers 41, with 90% over 600 pounds.
