Ogallala livestock auction report

The Ogallala Livestock Auction Market, Ogallala, Neb., reported receipts of 550 head May 18, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb.

There was no comparison to last week because there was no feeder sale, although trends showed a lower undertone. The offering included 61% steers, and 39% heifers, with 92% over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 5 head, 124 lbs., 130.00; 518 to 539 lbs., 148.00 to 155.00 (151.11); 50 head, 867 lbs., 124.00; 933 to 946 lbs., 120.85 to 122.25 (121.32); 49 head, 962 lbs., 119.10.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 8 head, 492 lbs., 140.50; 8 head, 660 lbs., 126.00; 57 head, 789 lbs., 119.0; 64 head, 812 lbs., 117.50; 64 head, 903 lbs., 115.35.
