June 1 is the due date to register for the 2011 Tractor Safety Course to be held in Scottsbluff-Gering. The class is planned for June 6 the Panhandle Research and Extension Center and June 7 at the Farm and Ranch Museum in Gering, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
Any youth 14 or 15 years of age who works on a farm or ranch other than his own is required to be certified through a tractor safety course. Extension educators and field specialists will teach the class.
Cost for the course is $60, which includes all materials, testing, and lunches and breaks both days. Call the Extension Office at 308-632-1480 for registration materials. Registration forms are also available at http://kearney.unl.edu.
