Nebraska Soybean to host Bioproducts Symposium
Nebraska Soybean will be hosting a Bioproducts Symposium on July 13 to educate both the public and private sectors on the importance of purchasing bio-based products.
Soybeans have been at the center of research and development for many years. The symposium will cover a range of topics pertaining to the development, use and importance of bioproducts in today's marketplace. There will be an overall focus on the importance of establishing a BioPreferred Program in Nebraska as well as raising awareness of bioproducts already on the market.
The event will feature top influencers in the bioproducts industry, including Sen. Lydia Brasch, who recently supported the legislative bill for a statewide BioPreferred Program. Additional speakers will present on a variety of topics including: consumer survey results on the public's opinion of bioproducts, environmental benefits of bioproducts and agriculture's action to reduce dependency on petroleum.
The event will be held at Country Inn & Suites, 5353 North 27th Street, Lincoln, Neb.
