Limousin breeders attend Southeast Summer Classic


The Southeast Summer Classic Medal of Excellence Limousin and Lim-Flex show was June 12 in Murfreesboro, Tenn. Judge Quintin Smith of Lebanon, Tenn., sorted 40 females and 14 bulls.

In the bull show, CJSL Wild West 9060W won the grand-champion banner after winning Division 5. Prichard Limousin Farm, Bush Creek, Tenn., and Linhart Limousin, Leon, Iowa, exhibited the March 5, 2009, purebred son of DHVO Deuce 132R.

The reserve grand champion bull was 3G Xcursion, the Division 3 champion. The Feb. 20, 2010, Lim-Flex son of BR Midland out of 3G Cowgirl 421P, belongs to Emily Griffiths, Kendallville, Ind.

Legacy's Miss Pink, the winner of Division 4, went on to claim the title of grand champion female. Winnie Chatelain Combs, White House, Tenn., owns the Sept. 14, 2009, purebred daughter of MAGS Starbucks.

EF Xtraordinary followed her win in Division 3 by claiming reserve grand champion female. Etherton Farms, Dawson, Ill., owns the Jan. 10, 2010, Lim-Flex daughter of DA Traveler 004 703 out of MAGS Sheila.
