Extension offers flood resourcesNebraska A new University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension website at http://flood.unl.edu gathers news and information to help Nebraskans deal with the 2011 flood. The UNL Extension Flood Resources site includes materials from UNL experts, other land-grant universities and government entities to help Nebraskans deal with flooding. At the site, visitors will find materials in a number of topic areas, including: home, family, business, food safety, small business recovery, acreage and rural living, wells and drinking water, garden and horticulture, crops, cropland, livestock and pets. "For those that have web access, this resource offers flood information in one location that Nebraskans can use to help them get through this time," said Rick Koelsch, UNL Extension assistant dean. "Local Extension offices also can help you access some of this information from the best research-based resources from across the United States." New materials will continually be added to the site.
