National Farmers Profit More convention coming to Kansas City

The National Farmers Profit More 2011 national convention will be Jan. 17 to 20 in Kansas City at the Argosy Hotel Casino and Spa in Riverside.

On the agenda at our 2011 convention, you'll find experts discussing topics such as the USDA/Department of Justice meetings about agriculture industry concentration, changes in crop insurance regulations, and animal care guidelines in the dairy industry. Highlights include:

--Jan. 18

11:30 a.m.: Richard Ellinghuysen, vice president Pork Division, Producers Livestock, Omaha, Neb., The Future of Agriculture (Ellinghuysen is a former adviser to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission)

1 p.m.: Chris Webb, National Farmers Crop Insurance

7 p.m.: Paul Olson, National Farmers President's Address Reception and Outstanding Young Producer Awards, given to six producers, one from each National Farmers region

--Jan. 19
