LINCOLN, Neb. (AP)--The 2011 Governor's Ag Conference will again be held at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Kearney.
The conference for Nebraska's farmers and ranchers will be held March 1 to 2.
Gov. Dave Heineman announced the event's featured speakers. The keynote speaker will be Paul Schickler, president of Pioneer Hi-Bred, DuPont's global advanced seed genetics operation. He will discuss international trade, currency issues and the global economic climate.
Other featured speakers include Dale Moore of Policy Directions based in Washington, D.C., who will discuss designing a new federal farm bill, and Jason Henderson of the Omaha Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.
Also, Brad Lubben with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will discuss regulatory issues and their effect on agriculture and the economy.
