Grant application workshops to be held in Emporia, HaysKansas USDA Rural Development, in partnership with Kansas Department of Commerce will conduct two "Writing a Successful Grant Application" workshops. The workshops will be held in Emporia and Hays on Feb. 22 and 23. The workshops will be directed to both businesses and communities, including agricultural producers, entrepreneurs, non-profits, recognized Indian Tribes, local units of government, and city and county governments. Those attending can expect to learn the key components of a successful grant application, as well as methods for finding grant opportunities. The Writing a Successful Grant Application workshop details are as follows: Feb. 22-- 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Flint Hills Technical College 3301 W. 18th Ave., Emporia, Kan. Feb. 25--9 a.m. to 4 p.m., KSU Research Center, 1232 240th Ave., Hays, Kan. At both events, registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., and lunch is on your own from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Registrations will be accepted until Feb. 18 at the Kansas Department of Commerce website, www.kansascommerce.com/Calendar.aspx?EID=104. Cost for the workshop is $25 per person.
