Each year, Limousin exhibitors at the National Western Stock Show in Denver, Colo., select one of their colleagues to receive the Herdsman of the Year award.
Kyle Fleener of Heart Felt Farms, Gettysburg, Pa., received this year's recognition in the form of a commemorative watch. Kasey Woolam, director of activities for the North American Limousin Foundation, made the presentation Jan. 11 in the NWSS Stadium Arena just before the announcement of the grand champion Limousin bull.
This year's other nominees were Jeff Berry, DJ Limousin, Port Orchard, Wash.; John Ethington, Englewood Farms, Lexington, Ky.; and Heather Henderson, Wies Limousin Ranch, Wellsville, Mo.
