Dale and his wife, Paula, own and operate Miller Simmentals, located just a few miles from the Canadian border in North Central Montana. All of Miller's great grandparents homesteaded in the area in the early 1900s. He has been a Simmental breeder since 1970 when his family purchased a full blood son of the famed Parisien. Miller is a member of the Bulls of the Big Sky marketing group. He currently serves as the secretary/treasurer of the Montana Simmental Association and was the former president and newsletter editor. The Miller farm focuses primarily on dry-land wheat with their Simmental herd utilizing that land which is not suitable for farming.
