Neb. office of USDA stats arm gets new leaderLINCOLN, Neb. (AP)--A Wisner native has been appointed the new director of the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service field office in Nebraska. Dean Groskurth replaces Joe Parsons, who was named a senior research statistician and will work in Fairfax, Va. Groskurth, now of Lincoln, has been deputy director of the Nebraska field office since 2000. He's a 1985 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he received a degree in agricultural economics. The statistics services conducts surveys and prepare reports on agriculture.
