Texas CattleWomen offer beef gift certificates

It is almost time to start thinking about Christmas gift shopping. What better gift can you give this year than a beef gift certificate?

Dianne Buckingham, Texas CattleWomen beef gift certificate state chairman states that there are 29 banks across the state handling them.

Local CattleWomen groups throughout the state promote the certificates for Father's Day, Ag Day, Christmas and other gift-giving occasions. For a cattleman, giving a beef gift certificate makes more sense than giving a ham or a turkey.

Banks handle these certificates just as they do cashier's checks. They may be purchased in any amount and are good anywhere the United States. They can be used to purchase beef at a meat market, supermarket or at a restaurant.

Banks included in the promotion are: First State Bank, Three Rivers; First National Bank, George West; Bank of Alice, George West; First Coleman National Bank, Coleman; First National Bank of Mertzon, Mertzon; First National Bank of Mertzon, San Angelo; First Bank of Southwest, Hereford; Hereford State Bank, Hereford; First National Bank, Hereford; First State Bank, Miami; First State Bank, Canadian; Wheeler Banking Center, Wheeler; Happy State Bank, Panhandle; Memphis State Bank, White Deer; State National Bank, Groom; Citizens Bank, Shamrock; Farmers National Bank, Seymour; Wells Fargo Bank, Archer City; Byers National Bank, Wichita Falls; First National Bank, Olney; Ozona National Bank, Bowie; First National Bank, Throckmorton; Graham National Bank Throckmorton; Herring National Bank, Vernon; American National Bank, Gonzales; Community National Bank, Hondo; Hondo National Bank, Hondo, Bandaro, Uvalde branches; Amarillo National Bank Downtown, Amarillo; Arrowhead Bank, Llano; and Hale County State Bank, Tulia.

If there is not a bank close to you in the list above you may contact Buckingham at 66 Ranch, 16426 C R U, Shamrock, TX 79079; 806-256-3633, or 66ranch@nts-online.net and she will help you get the certificates. If there is a problem cashing these certificates, call her and she will contact the market or restaurant to explain to the manager and get the situation resolved.
