Southeast Colorado Bull Test canceled

Colorado

For the first time in 37 years, there will not be a Southeast Colorado Bull Test this year. Several years ago, the association members determined that it would not be feasible to hold the test if numbers fell below 30 head. Nominations for bulls were due on Oct. 13, and as of that date, only 23 bulls were nominated for participation in the test.

Producers in the past received performance data on their bulls monthly during the test. Information collected included performance data including average daily gain and weight per day of age, ultra-sound carcass data, genetic tests, and breeding soundness.

Association members wish to thank all of the cattlemen who have shown and interest in the program in the past and purchased bulls. We also look forward to serving your needs in the future.
