Nebraska updating diversified livestock directory

Nebraska

The Nebraska Department of Agriculture is currently updating the Nebraska Diversified Livestock Directory and would like to encourage producers who are interested in including their information to complete a profile form.

The directory is a listing of Nebraska livestock producers who have breeding stock and production animals available for sale. Those included in the directory produce alpaca and llamas; aquaculture; bison, elk, and deer; emu, ostrich, and rhea; game birds; goats; horses; poultry; sheep; and swine.

"This directory is another way for Nebraska's diversified producers to gain additional marketing exposure for their breeding and production stock," said NDA director Greg Ibach.

There is no charge to be included in the directory. Producers are encouraged to submit a profile form by March 1. Profile forms can be found on the NDA website at www.agr.ne.gov by selecting the Promotion/Development Division, then scrolling to the bottom of the page. Forms can also be obtained by calling 800-422-6692.
